I want to update you briefly on library services during the approaching period of intersession and upcoming Spring Term. Safety continues to be our priority, and the advice of public health experts at the University is our guide.
For those who will be on or near campus during the intersession, there will be access to physical library services with modified hours. No matter where you are in the world, for prompt assistance with questions related to the Libraries, the Ask A Librarian chat service will be available, also. For details about in-person services, including book pick-up and scanning, as well as the most up-to-date information about hours and days of services, please visit our website.
I’m incredibly grateful to the Libraries staff for their creativity in implementing modified in-person services as well as new remote services that support library users off-campus and internationally. We look forward to welcoming some additional students into our safe and socially distanced library spaces in the new year, and we will continue to see many of you online.
My warm best wishes for a peaceful holiday season,
Ann Thornton, Vice Provost and University Librarian
